I sold these two paintings a long time ago, back in 2006. But for some reason, I didn’t take a photo of the black, brown and red one. Didn’t matter, though, because the pair was hanging in the home of a good friend, and we met regularly for coffee and bull sessions. Then the pieces were moved to my friend’s Chicago pad. And then my friend moved to Illinois. For some reason, I thought the pieces were handed off to his daughter who lives on the East Coast. In short, I thought they were long gone. These smaller pieces are part of the Lamb Series. I think that series has meant different things for different people, but for me that series captured the frame of mind I was in after we invaded Iraq in 2003.
