New Gallery
There’s a new gallery at yoursilentface: Abstractions. And three new paintings!
I have always been attracted to abstract art, and while I ground a lot of my imagistic paintings with abstract foundations, I have never tried to make a straight up abstract painting.
Recently, I have been studying Abstract art, old and new, again. The other day, I dove in and tried to make a series of abstract paintings.
A final finish with a matte spray deepened the colors.
During the process, I learned that it really helps to work on several pieces at one time, or to roll right into another piece after finishing one. This keeps the paintings in conversation, but ensures that you don’t cram too many ideas into a piece that needs spaces for the eye to rest.
I hope you enjoy the new gallery. Link below.
